PIANO VOICE
SONGS.
Like many American musicians, jazz piano virtuoso/songwriter Ned Einstein lived through the last third of the 20th Century and first third of the 21st fading in and out of music – playing off and on with well-known great singers and musicians – in the 70’s with Anita O’Day, Zoot Sims, Eddie Daniels, in the 80s with Jaye P. Morgan, Alex Acuna, and top-notch West Coast vocalists (Cathy Segal-Garcia, Julie Kelly) along the way, along with salsa greats in the 90s (Charlie Montez [Perez Prado, et. al], Lee Pastora [Don Ellis et. al] and many others) – and exploding out of a 30-year retirement around 2020.
Along the way, Ned recorded a number of instrumental and vocal collections of jazz originals and standards. He began writing music and lyrics to scores of tunes, beginning in the 1970s – pop tunes worthy of the best available today, as well as many more conventional tunes that belong on Broadway.
